Under the auspices of this initiative, the Youth For Change Solomon Islands Team is set to conduct a series of four comprehensive workshops. These workshops will be centered on promoting the principles of clean and fair elections. In addition to these workshops, the team will also facilitate Youth Tok Stori sessions, which are interactive dialogues aimed at engaging the youth in meaningful discussions about electoral processes and democratic participation.
These educational and participatory events are scheduled to be held in a variety of locations to maximize their reach and impact. Specifically, the activities will take place in Kirakira and at the Waimapuru National Secondary School, both located in Makira Province. Additionally, a workshop and Tok Stori session will be held in Buala, situated in Isabel Province. Auki, a major town in Malaita Province, will also host these events. Finally, the series will culminate in the capital city, Honiara, ensuring that these critical educational efforts are brought to the heart of the Solomon Islands’ political landscape.
Through these workshops and Tok Stori sessions, the Youth For Change Solomon Islands Team aims to empower young people, equip them with knowledge about electoral integrity, and inspire active and informed participation in the democratic process.
